Yes, I like Star Wars. (So do you, probably.) In the summer I visited the excellent Star Wars Exhibition. Having visited the one in 2000(?) and really enjoyed it, I was keen to visit the largest exhibition of movie memorabilia in history (!) as well.
Thinking that most of the new films where CGI, I was expecting to see the original trilogy represented more, but I was wrong and, as a result, slightly disappointed (no Chewbacca?), but I was also surprised at how much model work was actually used in the new trilogy. Considering how people go on (and on) about the use of computer generated imagery in the recent films, I think most would be surprised to see just how many old school methods were used in creation of buildings, ships and characters.
I took a photo of every model, piece of artwork and costume in the entire exhibition (geek, moi?), but these are the ones which came out best. I hope you enjoy them!

This one always makes me smile: It looks like Darth has gone for a night stroll (depending on how your monitor displays it), maybe walking his dog.
My girlfriend alerted me to some more photos here, too. I don't know the author, but I think some of them are really good. Hope you enjoyed my shots!

Have you ever read those Star Wars short stories that Moore wrote? I'm trying to find them...
Thanks for the link to my Flickr photos, and for your kind comment about some of them.
The exhibition was unbelievably dark for photography!

HA! It's the toady thing from outside Jabba's palace! He is SO going in my SlideShow!
I went to the Star Wars Celebration in L.A. in '07, my first SW-only con, and it absolutely floored me just how MANY Brits were there! Y'all LOVE yourselves some Star Wars over there! SO many had come all the way from the U.K. for it, WAY more than I ran into at Comic Con; lovely, spectacular, friendly folk, the lot of 'em. It was only then that I realized; if I was looking for an English nerd for a husband all those years, I was going to the WRONG CON! Ah well, the American nerd I ended up with helped plan our Star Trek wedding, so I guess it all turned out for the best. :)
One of my Big Nerd Goals is to go back to the U.K. (I lived in London as a child) and go to a sci-fi convention there. I dressed up as a bunch of different British sci-fi folk over the years at Comic Con (like Maya from "Space:1999"), and hardly anyone got who I was. A lot of my nerdism is rooted in old school Brit nerdstuff (FOURTH DOCTOR FTW!), so being at a con where people know/love the same stuff would be refreshing AND fun.
I DO go on, don't I? You're gonna check your blog and think "Oh no, it's that Klingon freak again, WHY WON'T SHE GO AWAY?!" :)
Cheers,
Storm
